Aja Sutton

Aja is a geographer, computational social scientist, and demographer who studies the contribution of both informal social and political structures and formal governance to population and individual health. She is currently working on agent-based models of coupled-contagion processes.

Aja has a Ph.D. in geography from the University of Washington, where she also received a certificate in demographic methods. She has an MSc. from Durham University in paleopathology, of all things. She also holds an MA in history from Western University and received her BA (Hons.) from Queen's University. At UW, she worked with my regular collaborator Zack Almquist.
